RESIDENT MEDICATION RECORDS

Accurate medication records are extremely important to you, which is why we offer flexible solutions to choose from:

  • Laser Printed Medication Observation Records, Prescriber Orders, Anti-Coagulant Flow Sheets, Antipsychotic Behavioral Monitoring and many more. 
  • Electronic Medication Administration Records may be preferred. We partner with a variety of EMAR providers, but we recommend QuickMAR.

MEETING THE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS

We are centrally located and positioned to provide fast, efficient pharmacy support to assisted living facilities. We understand that your residents have specific needs that should be addressed by the pharmacy provider. We address these needs in a variety of ways: 

  • Customized packaging of medications will reduce medication errors and decrease medication pass times. No more bottles!
  • Flexibility in choice of medication packaging systems:
    • Multi-Dose Pouch Packaging with imaging verification
    • Punch Card medication cards
  • We accept most prescription insurance. Copays will be billed monthly to residents or their POA.
  • Working with prescribers to recommend alternatives for non-covered medications and/or submit requests for prior authorization. 
  • No worrying about drug interactions, duplicate therapies, or inappropriate dosing. Pharmacists review all medication orders for alerts that need special attention by medical staff.
  • We stock a full line of over-the-counter medications and supplies which are competitively priced and delivered to your door.
  • incontinent supplies, such as disposable briefs and wipes are in stock.
  • We will electronically bill Medicare for blood glucose equipment/supplies and nebulizer medications. 

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT FOR YOUR STAFF


We all know the importance of staff training. We support your community by offering various educational in-services:

  • Assisted Living Initial Med Tech Certification
    • This is the initial six-hour class that all personnel must complete before assisting with medications. 
  • Med Tech Annual Update Recertification
    • This two hour refresher is an annual requirement for recertification. 
  • Agency for Persons with Disabilities Med Tech Certification
    • This is a six hour course that provides a training curriculum and step-by-step procedures for medication administration. Validation is required before administration can begin. 
  • Basic Life Saving  (BLS) Certification
    • This course is designed for students who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings and need CPR training to enter into a health career-related training program. American Heart Association. 
  • Heartsaver First Aid and CPR AED Courses
    • Designed to prepare people to provide first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely and effective manner. American Heart Association. 
  • Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Level 1 & 2
    • Initial four-hour training for staff members who work in a facility that advertises that they provide care for persons with ADRD. An additional four hours is required for staff that provides direct care to residents.
